Due to hazardous weather and below freezing temperatures, shelter and warming centers will continue to be available for people experiencing homelessness or without heat in their homes through Sunday, Jan. 21.
Due to the extreme cold temperatures forecasted for our area, the Salvation Army, HOTEL, Inc., and Room in the Inn are continuing to partner with locations to offer shelter and warming centers for people experiencing homelessness or without heat in their homes. The warming centers will operate as follows:
- Wednesday, Jan. 17. 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 1215 State St.
- Thursday, Jan. 18 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Kummer Little Recreation Center, 333 College St.
- Friday, Jan. 19 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Kummer Little Recreation Center, 333 College St.
- Saturday, Jan. 20 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. at The Capitol Theatre, 416 E. Main
- Sunday, Jan. 21 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 401 W. Main
