BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – City road contracting crews will close down the intersection of Westen Street and Patrick Way on Nov. 13 until construction of the roundabout is complete.
The closure duration is expected to be about a month and a half. The closure is necessary to complete the roundabout project.
The attached map shows the affected areas. The green line represents the main detour route motorists will be required to follow if in this area. The red lines represent areas closed to normal “thru traffic” but will be open to “local traffic.” That means if you live in or need to gain access to a home or business in that area, you can travel that portion of the road to gain that access. But you can’t continue to travel further than what is necessary to gain access to a specific home or business.
Cutting through private property or businesses to get to other side of the intersection is prohibited.
While this closure is active, all residents within the affected areas will still have full access to their homes and all businesses within the affected areas will open and operating as normal.
This closure and detour will have proper signage to allow motorists to safely navigate in this area.
