Rep. James Comer, who has represented Kentucky’s 1st District in the U.S. Congress since 2016 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives, recently made several public statements regarding President Joe Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor. Comer, born in Carthage, Tennessee in 1972 and a graduate of Western Kentucky University, used his social media platform to comment on ongoing Congressional inquiries into President Biden’s health.

On July 9, 2025, Rep. Comer stated: “President Joe Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, just pleaded the fifth at his deposition before Congress today. It’s now clear there was a conspiracy to cover up President Biden’s cognitive decline after Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s physician and family business”.

The following day, July 10, 2025, Comer expanded on these remarks by saying: “When Joe Biden’s doctor was asked under oath whether he had ever been instructed to lie about Joe Biden’s health, he pleaded the Fifth. When questioned under oath about whether he believed Biden was fit to serve, he again pleaded the Fifth. President Trump is right: this is the”.

On July 11, 2025, Comer shifted focus to media appearances with a post stating: “@jasoninthehouse is hosting the @seanhannity show tonight. Looking forward to joining HANNITY on @FoxNews. Be sure to tune in at 9pmET!”

James Comer replaced Ed Whitfield as representative for Kentucky’s 1st District in Congress and currently resides in Tompkinsville.
