Rep. James Comer, U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 1st district since 2016, recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing concerns within the Democratic Party about President Joe Biden’s candidacy and criticizing media fact-checkers.

On July 29, 2025, Comer wrote: “Ron Klain, former Chief of Staff to President Joe Biden, revealed to Congress that prominent Democrats—including Hillary Clinton—had voiced concerns about Joe Biden’s political viability and ability to effectively perform his duties as the 2024 election approached. @NEWSMAX https://t.co/SB6y2KrERW”.

The following day, July 30, Comer posted an announcement regarding a television appearance: ” TUNE IN: Joining @IngrahamAngle tonight on @FoxNews at 7:20pmET. Don’t miss it!”.

On July 31, Comer commented on the role of fact-checkers in American media: “So long, Glenn. ‘Fact Checkers’ have desperately tried to cling to relevance while the American people rightfully see through the Democrat propaganda. Falsehoods didn’t win on their own. They had help from self-appointed referees like you who stopped calling it straight.”

Comer has represented Kentucky’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Ed Whitfield in 2016 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2001 to 2012. He was born in Carthage, Tennessee in 1972 and resides in Tompkinsville. Comer is also a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1993.
