Rep. James Comer, U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 1st district since 2016, used his social media platform in August 2025 to comment on current political developments and promote television appearances.
On August 10, Comer encouraged viewers to watch a Fox News segment, posting: “Don’t miss @SundayFutures this morning on @FoxNews! Joining @MariaBartiromo live at 10:30amET / 9:30amCT. Be sure to tune in.”
The following day, Comer addressed concerns regarding President Joe Biden’s health and the White House’s approach to cognitive testing. On August 11, he wrote: ” Biden White House aides are now telling Congress that Joe Biden’s inner circle agreed he shouldn’t take a cognitive test, seeing no political upside in doing so. @GOPoversight is exposing the coordinated effort by Joe Biden’s inner circle to cover-up his decline. @FoxNews”
Later on August 11, Comer commented on crime policy in Washington D.C., stating: “President Trump is rightly using executive power to take bold and necessary action to crack down on crime and restore law and order in Washington, D.C. The D.C. Council’s radical, soft-on-crime agenda has emboldened criminals and put public safety at risk.”
Comer has represented Kentucky’s 1st congressional district since replacing Ed Whitfield in 2016 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2001 to 2012. Born in Carthage, Tennessee in 1972 and currently residing in Tompkinsville, Comer holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Kentucky University.
