Rep. James Comer, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 1st district since 2016, has been vocal on various issues through his social media presence. Born in Carthage, Tennessee in 1972 and residing in Tompkinsville, Comer is an alumnus of Western Kentucky University.

On June 16, 2025, Comer addressed policies from Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul. He stated that they “refused to condemn their states’ reckless policies when confronted with the devastating costs for Americans.” He expressed concern that “sanctuary policies only harm the safety of American citizens.”

Two days later, on June 18, Comer announced that “over the next two months, @GOPoversight will be conducting transcribed interviews with multiple Biden White House staff and Joe Biden’s physician.” He emphasized that “Americans deserve to know when Joe’s decline began, how far it progressed, & who was making critical decisions.”

On June 19, Comer commented on voting rights by asserting that “the right to vote in the United States is a privilege of American citizenship.” He highlighted the passing of H.R. 884 by the House as a measure to prohibit illegal immigrants from voting in D.C. elections.

Comer’s statements reflect ongoing debates around state policies and national governance issues.
