A press conference is scheduled for Monday, September 8, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. CST in Henderson, Kentucky, to provide an update on the I-69 Ohio River Crossing bridge project. The event will follow an aerial tour of the ongoing construction.

Participants include U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy; Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.); Indiana Governor Mike Braun; Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.); Congressman Andy Barr (R-Ky.); Congressman Mark Messmer (R-Ind.); Congressman Jefferson Shreve (R-Ind.); Indiana Secretary of Transportation Matthew Ubelhor; and Kentucky Secretary of Transportation Jim Gray.

Media representatives are asked to arrive at the I-69 ORX Project Office at 1970 Barret Ct., Henderson by 12:45 p.m. CST for site escort.

James Comer has represented Kentucky’s 1st district in Congress since replacing Ed Whitfield in 2016 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2001 to 2012. He was born in Carthage, Tennessee in 1972 and currently resides in Tompkinsville. Comer graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BS degree in 1993.
